Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (JNB:IMP)

Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (Implats) is principally in the business of producing and supplying platinum group metals (PGMs) to industrial economies. The Company's business segments include mine-to-market primary PGM producer, including the marketing of metals produced by the Company; toll refiner for third-party material (Impala Refining Services), and investment and other. Implats produced 1.846 million ounces of platinum and 3.490 million ounces PGMs during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006 (fiscal 2006). It has operations on the Bushveld Complex in South Africa and the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe. Implats' primary operation is the wholly owned Impala Platinum Limited (Impala), which is situated on the western limb of the Bushveld Complex. Also in South Africa are Marula Platinum Limited (Marula) (77.5%, as from June 2006) and Two Rivers Platinum (Pty) Limited (Two Rivers) (45%), both of which are located on the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex.
